Some people might be upset for even daring to mention Goemon Shin Sedai Shūmei! (aka New Age Goemon), which is another 2D platformer. It is infamous for recycling game assets, including the music.
The 3rd game is back to 2D platforming, mostly drawing influence of GG2 on SNES with the theme of the game being "recycling". The 2nd is a 3D platformer / RPG, and is generally seen as the 'poorest' PS1 title - video on it here. Probably the best of the bunch in terms of content, though hard if you cannot read Japanese. The first title is a 2D platformer - similar to GG3 on SNES.
The first thing to note is that all of these are in Japanese only - so it if you cannot read Japanese you'll be at a big disadvantage (especially for the 1st game).
